Drizzling rain and preparations for new tea

Although the weather is unfortunately rainy today, work for the new tea harvest is finally in full swing in Uji and Wazuka, where our factory is located. During this season, our staff also goes to the local area to help out the farmers.

Today's task is "covering." Before harvesting, it's essential to cover the tea plants to block direct sunlight. If the tea leaves receive too much sunlight, the umami components will turn into bitterness, so this is an important extra step to prevent that.

The tea leaves, carefully cultivated in this way, are transformed into high-quality tea with a mellow sweetness and deep richness. Please look forward to this year's new tea.
