Commitment to tea
Supported by the reliable skills of tea masters
Yamashiro Bussan Tea
Yamashiro Bussan's factory is located in Wazuka-cho, Kyoto Prefecture, a famous area for Uji tea. Wazuka-cho receives a lot of rain and is characterized by a climate with large temperature differences between day and night, as well as fertile soil that is well-drained. Wazuka-cho is also blessed with the Wazuka River, upstream of the Kizu River, and river mist occurs in the mornings, making it the perfect environment for cultivating tea. Here, we will introduce the commitment to tea made by Yamashiro Bussan, which is produced in this famous area for Uji tea.
Three points of emphasis
We carefully select delicious tea leaves from all over Japan, with a focus on Uji tea.
At Yamashiro Bussan's Uji Wazuka Kyoto Factory, we develop tea in cooperation with local tea producers as well as tea producers from all over Japan. Tea has a wide variety of characteristics, such as rich flavor or strong aroma, depending on the variety and place of production. Yamashiro Bussan strives to create products that make the most of these qualities.
Stable quality thanks to the tea master's "combination" technique
Tea leaves are agricultural products, and their quality varies depending on the region and the year. In order to produce a stable product, it is essential for tea masters to sense the characteristics of the tea leaves with their eyes, nose, tongue, and touch, and then blend them together. Yamashiro Bussan provides a stable supply of delicious tea, using the techniques of tea masters who are well versed in both intuition and experience.
Thorough checks to deliver safe and secure products
Tea is a product that is part of our daily lives. That is why we want our customers to be able to drink it every day with peace of mind. With this in mind, Yamashiro Bussan implements thorough quality control, not only by machine but also by visual inspection by our craftsmen.
