Kagoshima Tea and Chiran Tea

Kagoshima Prefecture is the second largest tea producer in Japan, with a share of about 34%. The richness and aroma of Kagoshima tea, which is grown in the blessings of the sun and lush green earth, is highly regarded nationwide. Yutaka Midori, which is widely grown in Kagoshima, is a variety suited to warm climates, and is produced using deep steaming, resulting in a rich, full-bodied flavor.
