Special Yamecha tea, limited to this production area.
"Oku-Yame" refers to tea-growing areas located particularly in the mountainous regions of Yame, and is characterized by its tea plantations blessed with a rich natural environment and significant temperature differences between day and night. The tea leaves cultivated in this unique climate possess a rich and mellow flavor that is not found in other regions.
Among these, the first flush tea is particularly rich in umami because it is extracted from freshly picked tea leaves, and is characterized by a mellow yet deep flavor and rich taste. You can enjoy a pleasant and lingering aftertaste along with the gently spreading aroma.
Oku-Yame Ichiban-cha is a truly exquisite tea, created to enhance your moments of luxury. Enjoy a heartwarming experience while fully savoring the blessings of nature.
What is "Ichiban-cha"?
"First flush" refers to the new tea buds that are picked first during the tea harvesting season.
Japanese tea is generally harvested several times a year (2-4 times depending on the region). Among these, the first flush of tea, harvested in the spring from late April to May, consists of the softest and most nutritious new buds from tea trees that have carefully accumulated nutrients during the winter.
