This gyokuro has a pronounced umami flavor with little astringency or bitterness. We have added fine, powder-like tea leaves to the high-quality gyokuro, which are finely cut specifically for drip brewing, to enhance the umami. These ingenious techniques ensure that the flavor of gyokuro is fully extracted even when drip brewed. Just pouring boiled water into a glass will lower the temperature by about 10 degrees, so we recommend brewing slowly with slightly lukewarm water. The soft sweetness will spread throughout your mouth, bringing a smile to your cheeks.
